New updated progress pictures

Well, Ai-Geni is coming along very well I work on her almost everyday if I'm not away from home. I would love to be finish before September but if I'm not then its fine. Of course after I have completed the mother sculpt then I will make a cast of her then do retouches for the final doll.

OK, so here are the pictures I have taken yesterday of the progress so far. Since yesterday I have sand down the face to make it more oval instead of the square shape that you see here. I'm now adjusting the left eye; sculpting the lips and nose; retouching the chest and neck. I have to touch up the hips, so I still have a ways to go before I can move on to the head-dress.

Update (sorry for the late response)

Ok, so I know I haven't been posting in some weeks and its because i have been working really hard on my doll (Ai-Geni). She is coming along well although I had some minor set-back's for maybe two weeks but now (well as of yesterday...) I have been able to work on her and make her look the way I see her in my head.

You ahould always remember that creating handmade BJD's is a challange even for pros and I'm not a pro yet. So it is hard work to get a great product. Especially if you want to show your work to the world and even have them be sold later on.

I will be posting pictures as soon as i have a little more done with her. Right now, she is still very much so "rough".

Ai-geni Doll

Yes, I am creating a new BJD. "Ai-geni Dolls" will be 10 inches tall and very unique. I wanted to create this doll for my line to give a different fill as well as something I think others will enjoy also.

This is the concept art for the Ai-geni Line. I need to starts ASAP so I can have her ready for a convention I'm going to in some months. Not only that but create the wigs and clothes for her as well for my other girl.

She's finish!

I have finally finished my first doll, she is a "Hume Doll" but right now I don't have a name for her so if anyone would love to give me some ideas I will gladly consider them.

I have placed her up on my Facebook page and I will be placing her on my Deviantart page also.

BJD is coming...

I have been awaiting some products in the mail to finish up on my girl. Now that they have arrived I have been working on the final tweaks in order to present my very first (completed) doll. Wow, I can't wait to see her all done myself... If I do sell her, she will be nude as I'm not so good with sewing at the moment. But I have some extra doll parts so I will make a mannequin to start practicing on my sewing skills :)

Ounce she is finish I will take photos of her and post them on all of my sites (facebook, deviantart, etsy...ect..). I did not know that face-ups are kinda hard...but I will have to get better and I will with time and lots of practice.

I will be taking more... I still have to add the final layer of color and gloss to her. The girl with brown eyes is my practice head that will be used for making wigs with, so nothing will go to waste. Um, I havent thought of a name and I might not...because if she sells then the person who buys her can name her. I might sell them on etsy and ebay untill I can get my own website. I can't wait to see how this project will turn out.

Almost finish

I have been kinda slacking on my doll making, its only because I made about three dolls recently and I'm now in the process of getting them nice a smooth with the sanding process.

Now that i have three dolls cast, I can spend more time taking photos when they are complete.

Delivery

I was getting a bit worried about my order, but the place I get my liquid plastic from is a reliable site and I always visit them when needing new products. My plastic just came in to me yesterday morning! I'm so happy, now tonight I will get started on making the final pieces for my doll...might even make a hole new cast as well (if I have enough plastic lol.) This is always the serious/tedious part of creating your own dolls. 

Since I don't have a pressure pot at the moment I have to do it manually. Meaning if there are any huge ugly air bubbles I will have to add a little plastic to it in order to cover it, which I cant complain since it doesn't leave any marks and no way you can tell if I've done anything.

Products...

I'm waiting on hopefully the last case of plastic for casting. I hate it when air bubbles have to be my nemesis at this time. So I've bought another case to be on the safe side. The Hume Doll has been cast except for the left hand.

Progress pictures

I've added a sample of progress pictures. These are the mother sculpts for my Hume Doll. I've adjusted the hands much better than the picture shows (might need to get a better camera..)

I made some Hoof feet because I was excited and really want to create my Viven Dolls. But now is not the right time. I haven't even completed the Hume Doll lol...

 

This is the Hume Doll master sculpt in production. I sprayed her with a sealant to get ready for mold making.
