Lightbox Tutorial (old)

Hello everyone, today I wanted to post something along the lines of a tutorial for people that might need help with making a light-box. Trust me... these things are very easy to make and they don't require a lot of money what so ever. I created this tutorial when I first started my blog back in the day, but since then I have made some changes so I wanted to re-upload this.

(DIY) Light-box for cheap:

Items/materials needed:

1. Cardboard box
2. Long white paper
3. Ceramic Tile (or something hard that can sit at the bottom of the box)
4. Ruler
5. Scissors
6. Tape
7. Exact-o knife or regular knife (to cut out the windows of the box)
8. Three small Lamps

Alright so you have most of these things in your home already. If you don't have a ceramic tile sitting around somewhere then use something that is hard and stable and will fit on the bottom of the box. Make sure the box is bigger than the item you want to take pictures of. The first thing you will need to do is cut off one side of the box. If you have a rectangle shaped box then cut the smallest side off. Next, tape down the long piece of paper on the opposite side of the cut off side. Begin measuring out the squares on each side of the box and make sure that they are the same size and are aligned with one another before you start cutting:

Now you are 99% done so far, now just slide the hard surface under the paper and it should look like this now:

You are now done with the creation of your light-box. So now, get two small lamps and place them facing both of the windows (you can place them very close to the windows) and get another lamp and place it in the front of the box. Now, when you take your pictures they should look more professional and brighter like shown below:

I hope this tutorial was easy to follow and understand. I will be posting more tutorials in the future and you can also leave comments and suggestions as to what you would like to see more of.                                                               Peace

ML.
